Disney Vacation: Part 2

Day Four:  This was probably the day I was looking forward to the most!  Disney has their very own island called Castaway Cay!  When the boat pulled in we could see the wonderful beach and even a pirate ship!  The characters even join the beach day!   We got off the ship and met Daisy Duck.  Then off for some fun, but not before stopping at the "store" for buckets and Mickey shovels for the girls (at a lovely Disney price, of course!)   The beach was perfect!  The girls played and played.  Clara took up quite a sea shell collection.  We had so much fun!  We headed back on board after several hours in the sun for the little girls to rest while Clara and Daddy went swimming in the pool.  Then it was time to get ready for pirate night!  I had made the girls cute Minnie Pirate shirts just for this night!  The girls went to the club and nursery while Brian and I enjoyed dinner!  Then we picked them up they were even more decorated for Pirate Night!  The show was a late one, so we headed on deck to play for awhile.  Everyone seemed to have swords, so I ran to the shop to pick some up for our pirates, too!  I missed the show since Lila was worn out.  The other girls watched for awhile and came back to the room, but headed back up for the fireworks.  Then we finally called it a night!

Day Five:  We got to enjoy a day at sea!  We were actually looking forward to just a low key relaxing day!  We started the day with breakfast and seeing a few characters, including Goofy!  Then the girls went to the club to Do Si Do with Snow White!  How fun!  Off to lunch and then some time for swimming.  We rested and then got dressed for princess night!  All three girls dressed up.  Brian and I had reservations at the fine dining restaurant on the ship, so we were dressed up as well!  The girls had a fun night, and so did we!
Goofy!

Lila finally got brave enough to give a high-five!

Day Six:  After five wonderful days and four great nights on the Disney Wonder, it was time for us to be done.  We were sad to see it go, but luckily we weren't quite done.  We got on the Disney bus again and headed to the Animal Kingdon Lodge.   Our room was not quite ready, so we got into our suits and headed to check things out!  Our first sighting were giraffes!  We quickly headed to the pool. Once our room was ready, we headed up.  We were lucky enough to have a balcony that overlooked some fun animals!  We had an ox, an ostrich, cranes and even a giraffe wondered over for awhile.  That evening we took a shuttle to Downtown Disney for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  The girls loved the moving animals and huge fish tanks!  Kind of kept with our theme.
Bye Mickey!

All ready to go!

Ready for a night out!

Day Seven:  Time to go home...we had a late flight, so we enjoyed to pool one more day.  We could barely keep Clara off the slide.  They would not allow parents to go with the kids and Lila wanted to go so badly.  We broke the rules a couple of times and she loved it!  Nora wanted to go with one of us as well, so we bended the rules a couple more times...oops....then off to the airport.  The girls were awesome on the plane! Lila took a two hour nap and after we purchased new headphones, the girls sat back and watched movies.  What a wonderful trip with many great memories!!!

Goodbye Florida!

Disney Vacation: Part 1

I think I have to blog about our vacation in parts!  I don't think I can get it all done in one sitting...so here goes!
Day One:  We headed out early Saturday morning.  Things were rushed in the morning.  On the way out the door, I zipped the carry-on only to realize the zipper busted.  I quickly moved everything to a new carry on and away we went.  Brian always likes to arrive two hours early...I think it is a bit excessive, but I usually comply.  We headed to Aurora, because my dad was driving the minivan to the airport to drop us off so we didn't have to park.  We got out of the van and I suddenly had that horrible pit in my stomach...the passports were in the original carry-on which was in my closet.  Brian looked at his watch, jumped in the car and started to drive.  My dad stayed with me to help me check in the luggage.  I could not beleive it.  Luckily, Brian called our neighbor, John Pham, who ran to our house, grabbed our passports, and met Brian along E-470.  He saved our trip, as Brian made it back with minutes to spare!  Thank goodness my husband likes to arrive early...whew!  We had an eventful flight.  In my mind Lila would sleep and the other girls would watch movies.  Not so much.  Lila slept about 45 minutes and since I left the headphones in the old carry on as well, the other girls were restless on the long flight.  I also thought the flight would be full of kids, but rather it was full of retirees who seemed to not care for children from the glares we received.  However, we made it Orlando and luckily stayed at the airport. Our room overlooked the runway and the girls had fun watching the planes take off and land.

Pretending to be airplanes!
Day Two:  The next morning we got up and all packed to depart on the bus to head to the ship!  We were so excited!  The ride was about 45 minutes and the girls could hardly stand it!  We got aboard around 1:15, had lunch and got settled into our room.   The little girls grabbed a nap while Clara and I headed out to the welcome party!  That night, we all went to dinner.  After dinner, we took Lila to the nursery and Clara and Nora checked out the kid's club.  Brian and I got a moment to ourselves and grabbed a quick drink!   We picked the girls up and went to see the live show, The Golden Mickey's.  The girls were so excited when we retured to our room to see the beds turned down, a bunk bed had "appeared,"  chocolates were left and a fun towel animal greeted us!

All ready for Disney!

At the "Adventure's Away" party!

Day Three:  After a good nights sleep, we got up for breakfast and got ready for a day at Nassau.  We booked a beach day at the Atlantis.  Before we left the ship, we attended a Princess Gathering where the girls got to meet and get autographs from Snow White, Belle, Tiana and Cinderella!  Lila was not interested in standing next to them, but she watched from Daddy's hip and pointed while I took pictures!  Then off the ship and onto a bus for a day at the beach!  The girls loved playing in the sand!  The water was pretty rough so not a whole lot of swimming in the ocean.  The lifeguards were not allowing it, so also took in some pool time at the resort.   After s day in the sun, we headed back to the ship for some rest.  This evening we fed the girls dinner in the room and took them to the club and child care so Brian and I could have dinner alone.  Such a win, win!  The girls had fun playing and we enjoyed some relaxing!  After we picked up the girls we were able to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse!   This was pure magic for Miss Nora, as she is a HUGE fan!

Nora's favorite princess!

Clara's favorite princess!

Beach babes!

Lila was having a nap on a chair under and umbrella!

Checking out the Atlantis Aquariums!

Stay Tuned...

Last weekend we returned from a weeks vacation which included a four night Disney Cruise.  It was so much fun!!  I promise pictures soon!  It has been crazy getting back and getting caught up.  It did not help that two of our credit cards were tampered with at some point, so we had to cancel them.  Ahhh...back to reality.  Pretty sure I could be on vacation forever...

Lila's First Day of Pre-school

Yep, you read that right!  Lila is doing a mom's day out program one day a week at the our same lovely preschool we have been going to for five years!  Clara started in the same class and she thrived in it, so I know Lila will also!  She did just fine at drop-off.  Brian and I came in with her, took some pictures.  Her little friend, Presley is in the same class, so they both sat down at a table and posed for a picture and then went on to play.  They have both been going to drop off pretty much since birth, so they knew the drill!  Lila had a great day and the only mishap was when they went to play outside, Nora was outside also.  I guess they ran to eachother with big hugs and played, but when it was time to go in, Lila was not to thrilled to be leaving her sister's side.  Glad that my girls love each other so much!!

These two have the same hair and from the back it is hard to tell who is who!  Hope the teachers can keep them straight!!
