My friend Tracey holds an annual brunch each year. I met her last year as her daughter and Clara were in the same class. At some point last year I had found out that Tracey was a breast cancer survivor. In September, she found out the cancer had returned in her lungs, spine, bones and ovaries. She was still determined to host her brunch. Over 30 women gathered at her house and several of us, including Tracey was surprised when Miles from the Broncos, along with some people from Broncos HQ rang her door bell to tell her she was nominated as the Bronco Hero. She was given tickets to the game and was honored during the first quarter. She is such a true inspiration. She still walks her kids to school and is determined to fight. I am truly honored to know her!
