Lollipop Park Party!

Nora's birthday party was at Lollipop Park with a Lalaloopsy theme!  Thanks to a great deal through Groupon, I was happy with the pricing!  (Good thing, because Disney is a good deal!!)

 

She had school friends, family friends and cousins there to help her celebrate! 

 

 

Cheers to 11 years!

We celebrated with a dinner out at The Old Blinking Light.  The dinner was so good, I am still thinking about it!!

 

California Adventure and Mickey's Halloween Party!

Day 3 of vacation we headed over to California Adventure Park...first stop was saying hello to Goofy!  We hung out in Bugs Land for awhile and then rode a few rides, including Soarin' California!  So fun!  We also rode the Ferris wheel, met Jessie and has an all around great time! 

 

 

We had tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party!  We brought our costumes and had a spooky good time!  We finally got to meet up with our sweet friends, The Beilman's!  They were doing Disney also, but we had opposite schedules.  We did a few rides and trick or treated with them!  Their oldest son, Carter and Nora both have the same birthday and the kids just get along so great!  The highlight was riding Space Mountain.  Nora sat out with Marigny, but Clara and Lila LOVED it!   We enjoyed the parade and the fireworks (which were a-maze-ing!!!) 

 

 

 

Disneyland!

We set out for Disneyland on Monday!  What a great time!  We got to the park at 9 and didn't leave until 9 that night!  We rode so many rides.  First stop was Dumbo!  We also got to meet a couple of new princesses (we have meet a few on the cruise!)   We were so tired and all the girls fell asleep on the way back to Joe and Holly's.

 

Fall Break! Cali Style!

Yeah for fall break and a vacation to California!  On the agenda....visit Joe and Holly in Irvine (and by visit, I mean stay in their one bedroom one bath apartment!)  We flew out on Saturday evening (after three soccer games and dropping the dogs off at The P's)!  After staying up late and catching up with Joe and Holly, we were ready for Sunday Beach Day!  We headed to Newport (mostly because Joe had found a great sandwich spot and a Bartuska loves a good sammie)!  The weather started off a bit chilly, and if you ask Holly it was freezing, but the girls wasted no time getting busy playing. Joe did some surfing and we relaxed!  Lunch time was no disappointment.  A delicious little sammie and the sun came out.  The day ended with a trip to Trader Joes, a few beers and wine later, we had dinner and got ready for our big Disney Day! 

 

 

Nora is SIX!!

This sweet, lovable, kind-hearted and smart girl turned six on Oct 11th!  School was out for the day, so we started the day with presents and pancakes!  Then we headed to the American Girl store to spend her birthday money from her family!  She picked Molly, who is retiring this year.  Then we headed home to play (while I packed for out California/Disney trip that was starting the next day!)  That night we had Nora's favorite for dinner...Freddy's!!! 

 

 

 

Birthday Celebration #1

Nora's play was two days before her birthday and since family was coming to the play, we just decided to do cake and ice cream after to start the celebration!   Her actual birthday and then party (where her cousins will help celebrate!) are to follow!! 

 

Nora Stars in Beauty and The Beast

Nora was in the school play "Beauty and The Beast"  She was one of the girls who is in love with Gaston.  We were so proud of her!  She was the only kindie and she did so good with her lines and her voice projection.  She is a natural! 

 

We have some pretty amazing friends and family who come to see Nora act!  We am so blessed to have these kids in our lives!!
