JellyStone!

We always look forward to a fun weekend in Jelly Stone!  We camped with Gram, Papa, Autumn, Danny, Beau and Mackenna!  We had fun roasting marshmallows, feeding chipmunks, swimming, hiking, doing crafts, playing bingo and eating!

Papa made a non-fire campfire during the fire ban!  The american girls got to enjoy a  not so hot campfire!

Look close, there is a chipmunk in the middle!

Clara's chipmunk restaurant!

Even Linus hoped to catch one!

Lila is always a helper!

The girls made new friends

Summer Swim Days!

We have had a weekly swim date with Abbie for some many years now, I forgot how long we have been doing it!  The girls love to go and swim and play with one of our favorite people!  We also get to see friends there that we don't get to see in the winter months (we are all just so dang busy!)

Girls Weekend!

Our dear friends who moved to Ohio in March 2011 came out for a fun weekend visit!  We had a BUSY fun filled weekend with Kim, Addison, Reagan and Gracyn!  Tommy had to miss this one, hopefully  next time!

The Guess Girls got in Friday night and we had pizza and play with the Dutcher Girls!  So good to be together again!
These two picked up right where they left off!

We got up Saturday morning, had donuts, got Kim's car and headed to make some very beautiful necklaces at Strings and Beads!  From there we headed to Jason's Deli for lunch and then a stop in the American Girl store (aka...girlie heaven!)

We tried so hard to all sleep in the same room, but the Guess girls are two hours ahead and they were wiped out!  Still fun for a few minutes!!!
We woke up Sunday morning all refreshed and had some fun jammie playtime!  From there we headed to the Highlands Ranch Rodeo.  Brian braved it with our group of 12 girls!!

Some genius planned this event at 1 pm in a field.  It was HOT.  I thought we were all going to melt, but the kids loved it!  Kim's friend from highschool and her daughter met us there.  She just moved here and it was so hot, she nearly passed out!  However the kids didn't seem to mind.  They even lined up for the bunny (6 and under) and chicken (7 and up) chase.  Then we booked it out of there!  Kim and her girls went on to meet up with some other friends and we went home and enjoyed the AC!

We met back up with everyone at Michele's house on Monday afternoon for more play and even headed out to the much beloved gazebo area for running and jumping.  It pulls at my heartstrings that those days are gone.  I love my new house, but just haven't found the same niche I had on the old street.  What a treasure that we got another chance at it.

That evening we had a fun ladies night out.  Always good for the soul.

The girls were headed back early Tuesday morning.  We headed over very early for one last goodbye hug!

Last of the home improvements! (Hopefully!!)

We had the bathroom painted...huge improvement from the white walls, with white tile.  SOMEDAY...I would like some updates to this area, but this helped a ton!!  Thanks to my dad for doing the lights and Bed Bath and Beyond for the steal on the rug ($30!)

We also added a patio to our backyard.  We have a small deck off of our kitchen and now at the bottom of the steps we have a nice patio!
I have always wanted something like this!  So nice to sit and relax (someday)

Watkins

My dad's cousin Shelly was in town for a visit, so the girls and I rode out to Watkins for a visit.  The girls had fun doing Shelly's hair and singing her songs.  Then they got a chance to go out and visit with the horses. My little horse lover, Clara, was in heaven!!

Fun on the Fourth!

We started our day at the Highlands Ranch parade.  Next year we will get there much earlier to be in the shade.  This was the second year in a row we melted out there!

Back home for some R&R before heading to a fun BBQ!

I love making deviled eggs and this year I decided to color them up!

The kids had a blast playing until is was way past bedtime!  Fireworks weren't even missed this year!

Super easy flip-flops for the 4th!
