Ski Day!

In early March we signed Clara up to go skiing on a day she had off from school.  As luck would have it, she came down with a bad case of strep so we had to postpone it to Spring Break!  Brian took her up last Monday to Loveland and she was in ski school all day!  She loved it!  By the end of the day she was able to go down the bunny hill and turn by herself!  Brian had a great day and is looking forward to taking her and the other girls back next fall!

Doesn't this look like she is doing an awesome turn...she is really just mid fall!

Bowling!!

We took the girls  bowling on Sunday evening.  So fun!!  They loved it!  The bowling ally put the little bumbers up and they also had this cool stand to roll the ball off of!  Both Clara and Nora got strikes and spares.  What a fun family night!

Whoooo's the new artist??

Gram, that's who!!  Gram made this super cute owl picture for Lila for her birthday.  Made from paper on a wooden plaque!  It is on her wall and matches perfectly!!  I love the handmade gifts.  They are so special and will be treasured for years!!

Soccer Super Star!

A while back Clara came home and said "I want to play soccer!"  My first thought was, where in the world are we going to find time to do that????  Well, it always seems to work out!  We signed Clara up and she was placed on a new team.  The only thing missing was the coach...and you guessed it, Brian stepped up!!  Yeah Daddy!!  The biggest benefit was we got to pick the practice time and with dance on Tuesdays, choir on Wednesdays and music on Thursdays, we didn't have a whole lot of wiggle room.  So practices are set for Fridays with games on Saturdays!  They played their first one last Saturday!  So fun to watch!!  Brian is great with the kiddos and the team is super sweet!  Shoud be a great season..and look for the little ones to be playing in April!

St. Patty's Day!

Poor Clara...never stood a chance.  With her Dad being an Engineer and her mom being very type A (when I get something in my head, I will work endlessly to accomplish it!) Clara seems to have a perfect blend of both.  Her class had the option of bringing in a Leperchaun trap on Friday.  She had such a detailed idea, that her and Brian drew it on the computer and then they created it!!  The bottom box had a hole with foil covering it with gold on top.  The bottom of the box had gum to get the little pesky guy trapped and the top box had trip wire to make the top box fall on him!  She set the trap at home and school, but even though it was a great trap, no Leperchaun to be found!

All set to take the trap to school.

The night before St. Pat's day, we set Clara's trap and then Nora and Lila also set traps!  No luck, but the leperchaun did make a mess and even used the girls' potties!!!  Then he left green poweded donuts and rolos!  Not a bad deal!!

Backyard Beautiful!

I always love those spring days that the sun shines and we can play outside!  Nora, Lila and I took full advantage and did some rock collecting, tea parties and even a little t-ball while Clara was at school!

Swim Lessons!

The girls started back into swim lessons!  The main reason was when we went swimming, Lila was determined to swim all by herself...so I figured we better get her swimming!  All three we very excited to start and the biggest bonus was all three go in the lesson, without a parent!!!   AND they are all in at the same 1/2 hour!!  That means Brian and I get a whole 1/2 hour to chat, without someone needing something right that minute!!!  Yipee!  We do watch them and all three are like little fish in the water!

500 Words!!

Clara earned her 500 words a couple of weeks ago.  For her celebration, she wanted her and her sisters to go to build a bear!  They had a great time choosing the bear and having it stuffed.  Of course the bears needed out fits too!  Great job to your Clara!!

Look at me! I am THREE!

Lila turned three, officially, yesterday!  We started the day with tradition! The birthday girl gets a big gift, but the sisters get a little something too!  Lila got a Dora scooter!  Brian put it together and then we realized, Lila was pretty sick with fever.  I cancelled pictures, took Clara and Nora to school.  Lila took a long nap.  When she woke up, she was still not feeling great, but she really wanted to try out her new scooter.  After Brian picked up Nora, we played in the driveway!  Then Clara got home and the girls blew some bubbles.  It was such a nice day outside!  Too bad Lila felt pretty bad for most of it.  We had dinner at home, Mac and Cheese, her fav and a cupcake and then she went to bed early!

Party, Round 2!!!

After the friends left, Papa, Gram and Joe came over for dinner!  Autumn, Danny and the cousins (Taylor, Beau and Mackenna) were already over for round 1.  Lila opened presents and had more cake!  So much fun to be three!!

Beach Birthday Bash!

Lila picked a Beach Party for her theme this year.  I decided to brave it and have it in our house, since we have a house that fit more then five people in it!  Again, thanks to Pinterest, you can get a little crazy with stuff!  I was a bit stressed, but had fun doing all the decorating and planning.  The best idea I had was to call the sweet girls who live up the street, who are middle school aged,  to come and help with the kiddos!  Brillant!  They even cleaned up the basement and playroom and helped serve the kiddos snack and cupcakes.  A great time was had by all!!

Pinterest fruit plate idea!

My sweet birthday girl!!

The kiddos made visors!

And enjoyed snacks (goldfish, starfish cheese, nutter butter flip flop, watermelon and blue jello with a gummy fish inside!)

A group shot is never easy...

Happy  Birthday sweet Lila!!
