And I thought I had nothing to blog about this week!

Don't you hate when you wake up and you think it is going to be just another ordinary, busy day and it becomes quite the opposiet?  This morning Lila finished her breakfast at the stools that sit up to the counter.  Brian was not a fan of her sitting there...I told him she had sat there plenty, not to worry.  Then we went to gymnastics and ame home for lunch.  The girls ate at the table...Lila wanted to finish at the counter while I cleaned up.  A big thud and a huge scream, I knew I had to eat my words.  Lots of blood and a huge gash in her bottlom lip...we were headed to the ER.  Thank the lord for wonderful people in my life.  My friend, Michele met me at Heritage to wait with the van so I could take Clara in a bit early.  Again thankful the Enrichment teachers were glad to have her in there since class did not start for 40 minutes.  Then Brian met me at Littleton Hospital to take a sleeping Nora home in the van, while I took Lila into the ER.  After some debating, it was decided that a couple of stitches would be best for both cosmetic and practical reasons (left unstitched, the wound would be subjected to opening again and if you been around Lila, you know she is tough and does her best to keep up, hence falling a lot!!)  Then the worst part.  The doc brought in two men to help me hold her down.  If you have never had to do this you are lucky.  It is horrible to have you small precious child trashing about full of fear and confusion as a doctor comes at them with first a numbing shot and then a needle to sew it up.  I felt so bad and she just kept crying and screaming "mama"  I hope to forget that part soon!  The procedure was quick and we were on our way.  One stop at the store for some antibiotics and a box of Popsicles and she was back in business!

Reunited!

Lila, Nora, Clara, Lauren, Own, Issac, Ezra and Noah
A long time ago, I joined the Highlands Ranch Moms Club where I joined a playgroup for babies born in 2005.  Met lots of great moms, one of whom is my dear friend Marie.  Her oldest, Noah is two days older then Clara and they just both happened to be in the NICU together...Clara for premature birth and Noah for jaundice.  Around that time, I was doing a few activities and kept seeing the same mom with a little blond haired girl who also had blue eyes and was a skinny minnie.   Leigh and I decided to get her little one, Lauren, and Clara together.   From the big playgroup and smaller group developed and with a great friend moving away, the three of us settled into a nice little group.    The kids have grown up a lot and siblings have been added, but this last week, we got everyone together.  Marie and family were in town from Salt Lake and we got the kids and parents together for pizza and play!  A good time was had by all!!

Just like Daddy!

One early morning, Daddy needed to get some work done...looks like our other early bird needed to as well!

Valentine's Day Part 2

We had a fun filled Valentine's Day!  The girls started the morning with little goodie bags  from mommy and daddy!  Then off to gymnastics then home for lunch.  Clara's class party was in the afternoon.  Nora, Lila and I got to go for the fun!  Then home to see the goodies.  We had pizza for dinner.  Daddy ran to the mailbox where more Valentine surprises were from Arkansas.  Then the girls and Daddy had movie time!

Old Fish...New Fish

On Sunday afternoon, we headed to our rec center pool.  It had been a while since we went swimming...I guess since our cruise as Brian found a sea shell in the pocket of his trunks!  Clara just loves the water.  She is like a little fish (or part mermaid as she told us!)  Nora likes the water but is still a bit cautious.  Now, little miss Lila, she is our new fish!  That little one kept telling me "my own" in the water which meant let go of me, I want to swim on my own!  Once she discovered the frog slide, we could not get her to stop!  Better get her in some lessons for this summer....the pool is going to be our new hot spot!

Valentine's Day Part 1

We started our Valentine celebration with the girls on Saturday.  The girls have been asking to have their American Girl doll's ears pierced since they are now girls with earrings.  We also had their hair styled...Nora's doll was given to us by a friend and really needed her hair fixed up and Clara's did too!  So fun to take them!  Lila brought along her bitty and ended up with a wagon (mostly because I have loved the wagon for...I am a sucker for that store!!)
After the AG store trip, we met up with Papa, Gram, Uncle Nick, Christy and her little girl Cadie for lunch at Red Robin.  Gram got the girls some cute PJs, chocolate and Minnie cookies!

The dolls are all fancy with earrings!

Snow, snow and more snow!!!

We had a snow filled weekend!!  The girls played in the backyard with Daddy.  Clara built her own snowman.  Then on Sunday, we took advantage of the overnight snow and headed to the park to do some sledding.  Clara LOVED it and could go over and over.  Nora would go down as long as she was with someone and Lila (who we thought would be the biggest fan) would not go down...maybe because we headed out when she should have been headed to nap time (the life of the third!!)
