Ride, Baby, Ride!!

In Lila's mind she is a big girl.  In fact the other day she announced she was five years old.  With summer here, we are riding bikes a ton and Lila did not want to ride a trike.  She wanted to ride a big girl bike just like her sisters!  Luckily, I zipped by one garage sale on the way to a doc appointment and there happend to be a little girl's Barbie bike, small enough for Lila, for sale!  (Cue angelic music and huge shining lights!)  I borrowed $10 from Michele, who happened to be there too (thanks!!)  and tossed it in my trunk.  One stop at Toy's R Us for a helmet and a new horn (and new horns for the big girls too) ans we were set!  Lila likes her bike.  We have a handle for the back of it since she doesn't quite have the hang of peddeling, but she does have her own bike!

Now each night we are riding bikes around the cul-de-sac up our street!  Fun!

Spagetti,Ice Cream, Birthdays and Big News!

I love a messy spagetti face!!  I love the fact that the girls can eat it outside!

After I took one picture, Lila insisted I take her picture over and over...the best news, this little girl is NOT wearing a pull up or a diaper!  Whoo-hoo!

We celebreated Linus's eighth birthday!  Love this little boy-dog!

After spagetti, photo session and singing happy birthday, we had some Blue Bell ice cream...outside of course!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Fun Father's Day!  We started the day by making Daddy breakfast and letting him open his presents...drill bits and a day of fly fishing with a guided tour!  Then off to church and then a BBQ at the GP's with lots of great Dads...including my own!  No pictures however...my camera battery was DEAD.  Then home to finish up Clara's room (giving those new drill bits a spin).  The girls wanted to go to Home Depot with Daddy.  They decided he needed a cactus for Father's Day as well!  Too cute!!

A little paint goes a long way!

After taking almost two weeks of doing painting and taping here and there, I finally finished Clara's room yesterday! She also got a new light, which is not shown in the picture! Finally, one room done, many, many more to go!  Up next...Miss Nora's room!!

Kicking Off the Camping Season!!

Camping trip number one:  Lake Meredith.  The water was a bit low, the mud and wind were crazy, but we still had a great time!  So fun to see Lila experience it again like it was her first time.  Clara remembers everything, including the smores.  This year there was a fire ban, but we still managed to eat a ton of chocolate and marshmallows!  The newest addition to our camping gear was "The Lynch Loo"  We got a little privacy tent with a portable potty and it was a hit!  Even Lila took up using it!  We also took the pups along.  Now that we know how to navigate the camper and the girls are one year older, they got to come and were way better behaved then expected!  They loved it just as much as the rest of us!

Lucy and Linus hopped in the car two hours before we left..they were not being left behind!

Camping wears you out!

Sand time!

Time for ice cream!

Clara and Nora love the jet ski!
Uncle Joe let Clara and Nora drive the boat!  Lila loved it too!

The grandmas relaxing!

Luckily we are still included in the old block's parties!  So much fun!  I miss our street so much.  Fun to hang out with everyone!

Pool Time is Cool Time!

Summer is here!!  Another year of weekly swim at my dear friend Abbie's neighborhood pool!    Kate and Eleanor were there...no pics, little E is quick!  The Dutcher girls joined us and a great time was had by all!

Lila is my water baby!!!

Nora love playing in the pool!

Clara with Brenna and Ava.  We couldn't get these girlies out of the water!

Music Together!

Nora, Lila and I have been doing Music Together this past school year!  Thursday was the last class.  Clara got to join us since she was done with Curiosity Club!  So much fun and I love fostering a love of music in my children (since it is so related to math!!)

More Home Pics!

A credit to my friend Kim for the idea...last week I hung all of the upcoming hand-me-downs in my closet.  Before, I stored all of the clothes in bins in the crawlspace and it was such a daunting task to go through them to find what I had then decide who needed what for the upcoming season.  Now, the clothes are hung by size!  I am sure fall will be so easy to see what Nora and Lila will be wearing!  There are still a few bins...one for jammies, one for shoes, one for winter stuff, one for dress recital costumes one of full of clothes that I think are special to keep for the girls!

The next big change...blinds!!  These were the window coverings in my master bath.  If you peek at the second pic, you can see a perfect view of someone's house, who I would guess could see into my bath at night with the light one.  The blinds are so much better and so much more my style!
