Fa la la la la

We practically start holiday decorating as soon as the turkey leftovers are put up!  Brian worked on the outside of the house on Friday (since I was worthless after getting home from Black Friday shopping at 4:30 am)  Then on Saturday, we put up the trees!  The girls each have a tree in their room, which is lots of fun!  Then we put up our tree and love looking back at all of the fun ornaments.

So nice having a house that Brian can put lights on the top!

So much to be thankful for!

I had my first Thanksgiving at our house!  The best part is I did the turkey and Deviled Eggs and everything else was brought!  We had tons and tons of food and everything was so good!  Love spending the day with good family and good friends!

All three wanted their hair down!

The group shot with the auto timer!  Not too bad!!

Autumn and I always have a birthday cake on Thanksgiving...except this year with Beau and Lila got a little excited about it and it ended up on the floor!

The Nutcracker

Gram and I took the girls to see the Nutcracker at our rec center.  This is becoming a fun tradition!  The Bories and The Dutcher girls also saw the show!  Lila skipped her nap that day, so it was kind of touch and go, but luckily it is only an  hour and full of chatty, squimy kids, so mine fit right in!   The girls liked the show and then after the dancers (who are also kids) come out to take picutes and even sign autographs (so funny!!)

Crafts Galore

Clara and Nora (and Lila, too, just not as much) are quite the crafters!  These girls love to color and cut and color and paste and color and write stories and color...you get it.  We have a drawer and a cubbord that is just for them.  They are both always overflowing with completed and in progress projects.  We always have paper covering our table and floors and crayons everywhere.  It drives both Brian and I crazy that it is always out, but I also know I need to appreciate it because someday the interest will be lost and I will miss it!

Just had to add this from a party, so sweet!

My Little Mama

Lila LOVES to play with babies and she is the best little mama!  She cares for them and loves them and loves to line them up and play with them.  I get asked several times to take pictures like this.  She likes to pose them laying down.  Cute little story...I took the girls to Toys R Us, just to get a wish list going for Santa.  Poor Lila was so upset when she saw all the babies in the store.  She was so worried about them and wanted to bring them home.  She was crying and in her sweet little sad voice said, "Mommy, will Santa take care of those babies?"  So sweet and loving!

Happy Birthday Brian!

We started Brian's birthday fun with meeting Dad, Char, Nick and Joe at Old C's for lunch. The girls spent the night on Saturday night, so they were excited to see Daddy and wish him a happy birthday!  Then we headed home and had a few friends over (8 adults, 11 kids, including us) over to watch the Broncos win!!  That is all Brian wanted to do for his birthday was to watch football and drink beer with his buddies.  I think he had a great day!!  Happy 36th!!

Let it snow!

Seems like we might be in for quite the winter!  We have already had two snow storms, one closing the schools last Wednesday.  The girls took full advantage of playing outside!!

My Characters Are Such Characters!

Introducing...My Little Pony Starsong, My Littlest Pet Shop Monkey and Minnie Mouse!

As plastic figurines...

In the flesh!

We headed over to the old hood to trick or treat.  We had some yummy chili at the Phams and then headed out!  The weather was perfect, not even a coat needed.  The big kids were FAST!  Lila and Presley were so sweet.  They held hands most of the time and were a bit slower.  The funniest was when they went up to a door and the person said to take as many as they wanted.  To them that meant the whole bucket!!  So funny!

Clara's Halloween Party

I love that schools still have the halloween parade and parties!  I still remember mine from elementary school!  Clara was so cute and Nora and Lila had fun at the party too!

Clara and her good friend, Katie!

Pumpkin Carving!

Autumn and I planned a cousin pumpkin carving pumpkin!  We had taco soup and then got right into the carving.  Of course the kids lasted about four minutes before they moved on to playing, but the pumpkins came out really good!

Getting ready!

Our pumpkin!
Autuman and Danny went with some extreme carving!
