Crazy Campers

Number of nights camping: 1
Number of coolers packed: 2
Number of jet ski and boat rides: 3
Number of smores eaten by little girls: 4
Number of hours in the car: 5
Number of extra loads of laudry: 6
Did it all add up to take a family of five with three little girls camping? YES!

The prep work and the clean up were quite a bit to take three small children to Green Mountain Reservoir to camp with family and friends, but we really had a great time! The girls LOVED riding on the jet skis and in the boat. The big girls slept in a tent with Brian, while Lila and I bunked in Dad and Char's RV. Brian and I are now in the market for a little pop up so we can have a "home base" and go camping with the crew more often! Here are a few fun pics from the trip!

An Old Love...A New Flame

There is a new love in our house...Elmo. This is not the first time a little blonde haired blue-eyed girls has fallen hard and fast for the fuzzy little red guy in our house, but he is now admired by little Miss Nora. Nora will say "I want El-Mo" as she carries us the remote control. All of our Elmo stuff is stored away, so Kim was kind enough to pass one of hers along. This little Elmo is snuggled with each night and comes out of bed and is snuggled with each morning. Guess you can guess the theme of birthday party number 2!!

Our little family vacation was fast and fun! After making a few stops on the way up, we got into Ft. Collins Friday night just in time to eat before the kids totally melted down. We checked into our hotel and the girls loved it! We finally got to bed once the excited wore off a bit. The next day we got up, had breakfast and drove around campus a little bit to see what was the same and what had changed. We had a delicious lunch at The Pickle Barrel. Then off to Cheyenne! The girls got cowgirl hats and we watched some of the rodeo. Clara and Nora LOVED watching the horses (Nora from a safe distance, of course) Then to the fun carnival rides. The girls had a lot of fun. Brian was a good sport and rode since Nora was too little to go without him. We ended the day at the rodeo with some funnel cake. Back to Ft. Colllins for dinner at Beau Jo's. There was a small company offering carriage rides. What a great way to add to our day. We finished off with some ice cream at Walrus and back to the hotel for bed. The next day we got up to do some swimming. Nora was not into it, but Clara was a little fish in the water. We then headed to my mom's for some lunch! WHEW!

Out to Watkins!

Clara just loved horses!
The red-nosed twins!

Uncle Joe came to town, so we rode out the see Aunt Jo and Uncle Ken. Clara was very excited to say "hi" to the horses. Nora, not so much. She wanted to keep a safe distance. The girls had a great time eating lunch and coloring. We sang Happy Birthday and had some yummy cake for Uncle Ken's birthday!

Our little artist!

Wouldn't you know...four years and three kids later it was bound to happen...wall art with good old non-washable markers. I usually only buy the washable and if something is not, it is put up far away and only used under strict supervision and while Nora is napping. Well, last week, Nora and Clara went to a play day and were sent home with some fun "color you own puzzle with the included markers" The girls took thier new prizes downstairs and away they colored. Nora decided to give it a try on the wall. When I tried to scrub it off, paint came with it. I have just left it. Not sure we will get around to painting over it, or just let it be part of the decor. Yesterday, Nora and I were heading up the steps and she pointed at her work and just started to laugh. Let's just hope she is laughing with me, not at me!

Weekend cuties!

Loving her popsicle!
Nora insisted on putting on her own shirt!

Gotta say, this is my first baby who loves tummy time! She rolls to her belly and will hang there for quite some time. She even started tucking and kicking her little legs!

Visiting Friends!

The girls had some photo ops with some visiting little ones! Presley and Mackenzie came over Friday, all decked out in the same watermelon outfits as the Lynch girls. We got a picture of the babies, the big girls were too busy! Lila also got a picture with some babes who came over to play on Friday. I know their mommies from high school. We also had a very quick and suprise visit from the Eddy's on thier way though Denver, heading back to California. Clara and Nora with Crosby Eddy
Lila with Colin Jack and Anna Eggemeyer
