The best things in life....

are made out of construction paper.  I turned 34 this last weekend.  The second I was downstairs, Clara had a bag of lovely pictures and cards from her and Nora.  I don't think I could have asked for a better birthday present!  (I am however, very much enjoying the entire new set of kitchen linens and Real Simple cookbook from the entire family and the new coat that I picked out for myself!)  I enjoyed the big birthday by seeing Precious with my mom on Friday, painting ornaments with the fam on Saturday morning and then off to Jake Pham's third birthday party!  From there we joined the Guess Family and the Borie Family for dinner at the Rio, with all the kids in tow!

The Nutcracker

Gram and Grandma Vera joined Clara, Nora and I for an fun night of seeing the Nutcracker through our rec center.  It was a perfect shortened version for the girls!  We sat by the Borie girls!  After the show, Clara, Nora and Mackenzie got to take some pictues with the dancers...my favorite is the one of Clara with "Clara!"

Communication with an 8 month old...

The start of solids has been quite a guessing game.  At first Lila did just fine and then she started refusing to eat from a spoon.  We had her in the bumbo and she just wasn't having it.  So we moved her to the highchair.   We gave her some puffs and tried feeding her all sorts of babyfood with a spoon.  No luck.  She would eat some cereal if we piled it on the tray and give her a spoon, but after five minutes she would be screaming.  So I figured maybe the highchair was uncomfortable.  So I got the booster chair with a tray out and put her in it and put food on the tray.  Okay for a few minutes, but mad soon after.  Finally, we have had a breakthrough!!  See, all along, she just wanted to sit in a chair at the table, with her food on the table...just like her sisters!  Doesn't this expression just say it all!  "See, this is what I wanted all along!!"

Broncos!

A right of passage in our family: wear the Lynch Bronco jersey!  This is Lila's season!  Of couse the big girls needed to get all dressed up as well!

This weekend we headed out to Watkins for a mini family reunion! Lots of cousins were able to meet the girls and we had a great time catching up!
