It is official! Lila took her very first steps last Wednesday! We were having quite the spring snow storm so Brian was working from home. He decided that he would spend lunch playing outside with the big girls. While we were getting them all dressed, Lila was standing on the little push toy. She turned to Brian and took two steps!! Then she did it again for me! Brian was so excited! He has been lucky enough to see all three girls take their very first steps! Yipee!

Teddy Bear Tea
Just a bit behind on blogging! Last Tuesday, we went to a lovely little tea house called In-Tea with the Borie girls for a Teddy Bear Tea Party! This little place hosts this each Tuesday for free! The girls heard a few stories, had Gummie Bear tea with some teddy bear crackers, and then colored a teddy bear picture! Even the babies enjoyed the fun!

A Fish Called Snoopy
So, what does a family of two adults, three small kids and two little dogs need? I bet you guessed one more thing that requires food, cleaning and love!! Good guess, because we are proud to introduce the 8th member of our family, Snoopy, our redish-blue Beta. His name was quickly extened to Snoopy Doopy. Brian and I have had some fun with calling him Snoop Fishy Fish and accused him of growing something illegal in his tank and hanging with Dr. Bay behind the Dora tank ornament. We adopted him Saturday and I am proud to say he is still alive!
By the way...the name Snoopy fits in the family with Lucy and Linus from the Peanuts gang!!

Life with Nora
Need a good laugh? Just hang around a two and half year old and you will get your dose! Miss Nora keeps us going! It is so fun to watch her little mind work. She is very into what Clara is doing. She is the first one she asks for in the morning. She reads book with "Sissy" each night. She loves Blueberry cereal bars (not Strawberry or any other fun flavor) and she loves to eat cheese. Her drink is a "drinky" and she insits that she drink out of the blue one. She will often claim that she did not get "that much" of whatever she wants...toothpaste, cheese, a treat. She loves to put things behind her back and say pick a hand! She plays hide and go seek and will close her eyes and say "Find me!!"
Here are a few of the cute little things she has recently said:
On a nice afternoon after asking to watch Dora all day.
Me: Nora, do you want to go to the park with swings or watch a Dora?
Nora: Watch Dora.
Me: Are you sure?
Nora: Actually, I want to go to the park.
We have a "Pick Up Fariy" She takes toys with her that are left out and will bring them back in one week. If she does not need to keep any toys, she leaves a prize on Friday mornings.
Clara: So, the Pick Up Fairy is kind of like Santa?
Brian: Yep!
Nora: OH. MY. GOSH.
The girls and I were driving in the car.
Clara: Mommy, my toes are tingly. They are asleep!
Nora: My toes are asleep too. They are tired. They need to go home and have a nap!
We are so lucky to have our little Nora!!

The Zoo!
The girls and I met up with our friends Kate and Eleanor at the zoo last Thursday...no pictures of Miss Eleanor, who is two. She is on the go, go, go and she is FAST! The girls had a great time. We saw lots of animals, rode the train and had lunch. Lila would have liked more time out of the stroller, but what is one mama with a double stroller with three kids to do? Clara loved the flamingos, Nora loved the monkeys and Lila just loved it all!
I got my work out...Clara and Nora share the little bench seat in the double stroller.

Happy St. Pat's Day!
St Patrick's Day was such a great day! The girls went to school and after school, we played in the front yard at the St. Onge's. They have a fun bouncy house and all sorts of fun ride on toys! Troy even mangaged to sit them all down for a picture with the promise of an Otter Pop! One fun group! Ten big kids, three babies plus, Claire who is too little to be in the wagon. In addtion, two twin boys are expected the spring among this bunch! WOW!

Nora's Big Girl Bed
This weekend we converted Nora's crib to the toddler bed. Really should have considered the time change factor, but oh well. After we got it all set up, she said "Mommy, I WUV my Big Girl Bed!" She loved it so much, she had a hard time falling asleep last night, but I am sure this will be a quick adjustment!
