Lollipop Park!

We helped Brenna celebrate her 7th birthday at Lollipop park...so.much.fun!  What a great concept...amusement park rides for little kids in a nice small place!  The girls loved it!

Arkansas

Last week we hopped in the car and drove to Arkansas.  The girls are rock star travelers!  We left our house at 3 AM on Thursday morning and stopped in Tulsa for the night.  We had a nice dinner and swam in the pool.  The next morning we got up and got to  Little Rock around noon!  Arkansas + July = HOT, so we spent a lot of time in the water trying to stay cool.

  Friday night we hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's and swam in their new pool!  The girls stayed the night and Brian and I went out for a little bit and then back to our hotel room! 

Saturday we headed to a fun little place called Willow Springs.  It is fun water park that is a lake.  The girls LOVED the big water slide and we rode it over and over and over again!

Saturday evening, we watched a minor league baseball game!  Lots of fun!

Sunday we were invited to Uncle David and Aunt Pat's for a BBQ and more pool time! 

We said goodbye Sunday evening and headed back to the hotel.  Monday morning, we were on the road by 2:00 AM Denver time and home by that evening! 

GO YOgi!

We headed to JellyStone this weekend with Gram, Papa, Autumn and Beau!  So much fun!

On this trip we...

walked around the park.

Played on the playground.

got yogi tattoos.

painted ceramics.

tempted Yogi with a pic-a-nic basket. 

hung out with our cousin and friend. 

got very, very, very dirty. 

spent time with Gram and Papa.



roasted marshemellows and peeps. 




and had fun around the campfire.



We also

*had a broken pop-up heater.

*a scraped up leg on Nora.

*a discovery of a strange growth on Lucy.

*a sick 6 year old (vomit in the middle of the night)

*an eye flush after Lila bit open her glow necklace and got it in her eye. 

BUT...overall, we still had a great time!  See ya in September Yogi!

Bullfrogs and Butterflies

Well not bullfrogs, but we have butterflies!  Thanks to Sprout for their advertising, Clara wanted her own butterfly nursery for her birthday.  Once we moved and got settled, we ordered our caterpillars.  They arrived in a plastic cup, with food and a lid (the cup was also covered by a coffee filter with the lid over it).  The caterpillars came so tiny and grew before our eyes!  Once they were all plumped up, they made their cocoons from the filter.  We transferred them to the butterfly nursery and now they are hatching! So cool!

Big Girl Bling

Recently, Lila has been asking to get her ears pierced.  She is on a big girl kick!  She kept saying "I want earrings like mama." So I made my last and final ear pierce appointment at Jack and Jill and off we went!  When we got there, Lila got to pick her earrings out and sure enough, she picked little ones that look like diamond studs "like mama"  She was a little nervous and I had to have her sit on my lap.  She cried for a second, but was very proud after.  She tells just about anyone that will listen that she got her ears pierced!
