Project #1: Making an Art Area
Back when we had the loft (before we finished it for Lila's room, we had a cute little red pull out sofa. We moved it to the basement when the loft became a room. Then for Christmas, the girls got a fun new art table from Grandma Vera and Grandpa Charlie. We have also had an easel in our playroom, but not really being used amongst all of the toys. So we decided to sell the couch and set up a little craft space for the girls! I hung the monogramed art smocks that Joyce got them, framed and some of Clara and Nora's art work. Then I painted our crawlspace door in chalkboard paint. We love it! The area is set up next to my desk and I also have a scrapbooking area in that space also. I have even been able to do a little scraping while the girls color away!
Project #2: Bow Holder
The girls bathroom is sea creaters, so I set out to make a bow holder. I painted an wooden oval, glued on yellow pipecleaners and eyes, and painted on a little smile. Voila! A bow holder! I am going to put together another on with a starfish and ribbon coming off of it, since we do have qutie a few bows in this house!
