The planning for Clara's 7th Birthday started long ago! We knew we wanted to have it at home and after a few different themes, we both loved "Spring Fling!" Clara wanted to invite all of the girls in her class, plus a few other friends and of course her sisters. I knew our count would be around 20, so I had to be organized and I needed some helping hands! Papa, Gram and Nana were here early to help. We completely lucked out with beautiful weather, which made everything easier!!
I set up three tables and started the girls off with a snack. The grandparents and I pre-assembled plates with a butterfly (made out of a baby carrot, two pretzels and raisins and a flower made out of a 1/2 grape and sticks of cheese) No pic...can you believe it?
When the girls arrived, I had them choose a butterfly I cut out from my Cricut and then used yarn to make a necklace. There were three colors to choose from yellow, pink and purple. After snack, I put the girls in groups by the color of butterfly there were wearing and sent them off to centers (I have paid attention at the school parties...)
So one group went to play Bingo (thanks to Cathryn's mom, Christine, she offered to run the game table!) I had prepunched little butterfly and flower bingo markers to make the theme go!
Another group went to the craft table where Nana and Katie's mom Ann (who stayed to help) helped kiddos with butterfly finger puppets and butterfly bead necklaces and butterfly coloring sheets.
The third center was outside, where Pop and Gram supervised girls decorating small flower pots and then helped them plant a pansy! The girls all also signed a large pot for Clara to keep!
After about 20 minutes the groups rotated (twice) so each group got a chance to do all three stations! It was so fun!!

Then it was time to sing and have ice cream cake!!!
After two fun filled hours, it was time to say goodbye to this sweet group!!

Penny-All I can say is WOW! I am beyond impressed with your party- planning skills. Forget tutoring, you need to hire yourself out for birthdays! Super cute.
